The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Creggsman, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race

The Stewards interviewed J.B. Foley, rider of Huckleberry Rock, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, J.B. Foley stated that his mount was inexperienced, was off the bridle three hurdles out and was trying to pull himself up. He added that he used the whip once for corrective purposes and later on gave a few light hits to make his mount concentrate. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that J.B. Foley was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to the provisions of R10(6)(a), the Stewards suspended J.B. Foley for six racedays

S. O'Callaghan, rider of What Ever Oscar trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race

J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Creggsman trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was pulled up

The Stewards interviewed E. Walsh, rider of Arrycan, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence E. Walsh stated that his mount was idling in the closing stages in a good dual with the eventual winner and he was trying to do his best. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that E. Walsh was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned E. Walsh on this occasion.

An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-95
