The Stewards interviewed C.A. Landers, rider of Rebel Gold, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip with excess. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C.A. Landers was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency). Having considered his record and pursuant to R10.6(a) the Stewards suspended C.A. Landers for 6 racedays
D.J. McInerney, rider of Espanito Bello (FR) trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake and pulled up
M.P. O'Connor, rider of Eleazar Des Neiges (FR) trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Defi Bleu (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
