It’s been a tough week so far, but it’s a tough place,. We were a little bit unlucky yesterday with a couple, but that was brilliant. Different track, slightly better ground, it was always going to suit us. I said to Harry today ‘be positive, bowl along in front and ride him like the best horse in the race’. He gave him a peach of a ride there.

Permission was given for Mighty Potter (FR) to wear a red hood to post.
After jumping the second last, Appreciate It (IRE), placed fourth, which was hanging left, ducked sharply left across James du Berlais (FR), unplaced, and Mighty Potter (FR), placed third, slightly inconveniencing both of those runners but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved.
Following the race, Davy Russell reported that Mighty Potter (FR), placed third, hung right in the closing stages and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding lost its left fore shoe.
