The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the second last hurdle involving Dgalwaygallivantor, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed first, and Thelonglad, ridden by P.K. Donovan. placed third where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C. Stone-Walsh stated that he got pushed right on landing over the second last hurdle and had to lean on the leader to avoid colliding with the doll. P.K. Donovan stated that his horse jumped to the right at the second last and was holding his line afterwards but admitted that he knew there was a horse inside him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found P.K. Donovan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for ten racedays

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Champagne Saloon, trained by Sean Aherne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left

C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Dgalwaygallivantor, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room after the second last hurdle

C.G. O'Dwyer, rider of Robin Elite, trained by Gearoid O'Loughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Robin Elite trained by Gearoid O'Loughlin was seen to have blood at both nostrils post race.

An extended handicap hurdle for three years old and upwards rated 80-109
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
