The winner Ballybegg (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Uttoxeter on 28 January 2023 when the gelding finished seventh of nine beaten 43 lengths.
The Stewards noted that Kerry Lee could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Ballybegg (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Isabel Williams reported that Bold Plan (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
Paul O’Brien reported that Kincardine (GB), which was pulled up, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
