I was delighted with him. The race panned out nicely as they went an honest pace and he settled in lovely. He jumped well and was able to gain ground in the air.

I'm delighted for the horse - they went very quick and while he'd handle the ground it's a bit on the dead side,. Denis gave him a lovely ride - got him into a rhythm, and he kept going forward every chance he could. There was only two of them in it up the hill and the horse in front just started to tie up a little bit and we were coming at him. He's not a horse that you'd hit the front on too soon so Denis just timed it to perfection. Fair play to the horse - he's a smashing horse - and I'm delighted to have him. It's nice to get a winner in Galway and that was a very competitive race.

After race at Down Royal Fri, 25th May, 2018 (1st)
We thought he was more of a chaser, he won his point-to-point and he won it well. We were just waiting for a bit of nice ground to run in Ballinrobe and he came on from it. This was a nice opportunity for him. First of all I must give credit to the track, they did a great job watering and it is safe (ground). Denis is poetry in motion! He just has a lovely pair of hands. He took his time early on, crept his way into it and the horse learned a nice bit and got a nice bit of confidence. Hopefully it is onwards and upwards. We'll feel our way now and we'll see how he comes out of it. He'll handle soft ground as well but we gave him a break during the winter.

He's a horse that's going forward which is very nice and I'm delighted to have him. When I walked the track I was a bit nervous. They were giving it as yielding but west of Ireland yielding and Fairyhouse yielding is different. You were just kind of sinking in it a little bit. He handled it well. I just told Richie to take his time and he gave him a lovely ride and arrived nicely. He was always just holding the other horse. When I looked at the program there wasn't too much coming up for him and you're limited enough. I was glad to see the rain because it's a sharp track around here but the trip suited. It worked out well but the race cut up a bit. This horse is game and will make a nice chaser. He's going the right way.

After race at Limerick Thu, 27th Jul, 2017 (1st)
He came to me last autumn having run in five point to points and fifth was as close as he got. On his first run for me, he was beaten just half a length and then won his next run by ten lengths,. I'd say the ground was just a bit quick for him the last day and it went soft out there today and we weren't sure how he'd handle it but the race cut up when a few came out. You're never unhappy when they come out and I was quite hopeful!. It's great to win another race for the owner/breeder (Ray Loughnane); this is a very competitive country and any time you have a winner, I tell you it's great. We'll look for something similar next and down the line he is more of a chaser.

Denis gave him a lovely ride and I'm very happy with him. He likes a bit of nice ground,. Ray Loughnane who owns him and bred him is here with his family today so they'll have got a great kick out of that. He won a point to point well at Lisronagh on good ground so obviously that's his ground and they have done a great job watering it.
