Snugsborough Benny was well-touted off a 74 day break encountering better ground in the second split of the two and a half mile handicap hurdle at Tipperary. He duly delivered in the Ryans Cleaning Event Specialists-backed contest.
Liam Cusack 's point-to-point winner travelled well around the outer under Denis O'Regan and it simply looked a matter of safely negotiating the last two when they hit the straight.
The Beneficial gelding jumped the last well and he then asserted away to beat Wee Tiger by three and three parts of a length.
"Denis gave him a lovely ride and I'm very happy with him. He likes a bit of nice ground," said Cusack.
"Ray Loughnane who owns him and bred him is here with his family today so they'll have got a great kick out of that."
"He won a point to point well at Lisronagh on good ground so obviously that's his ground and they have done a great job watering it.
"We'll keep him at handicaps and he was sent to me in the autumn. Now he has won a point to point and also on the track so it's great, and I've a brother of his, for Ray as well, at home too."
