The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.F. O'Regan, rider of Suttons Hill, concerning his use of the whip in in the home straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, D. F. O'Regan admitted that he was in breach of the whip guidelines and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that D.F. O'Regan was in breach of both R10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency and R10.3(i) in that he did not allow his mount at least three strides to respond. Having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended D.F
O'Regan for two Racedays.
