The Stewards requested a report from Mark Fahey, trainer of Golden Plan, the winner,regarding the poor performance of his charge at Musselburgh on his most recent start. Mr Fahey reported that on his previous run, his charge was hampered badly when a falling horse fell in his path at the fourth last, effectively ended his chance of a good run. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered. P. Carberry, rider of Outlawed Tunes, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount tired quickly in the closing stages.
