The Stewards interviewed B. Browne, rider of Tullypole Annie, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. B. Browne stated that he was in a tight finish and had not ridden a winner for a period of time, but accepted that he was in breach of R 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found B. Browne in breach of R 10.3(a)(hitting his mount in forehand in front of the saddle), R 10.3 (i)(time to respond), and R 10.3 (g)(frequency), and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for 4 racedays
The Stewards interviewed J.C. Gainford, rider of Junior Bee, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found J.C. Gainford in breach of R 10.3 (g) (frequency) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for 1 raceday
K.C. Sexton, rider of Gregory's Gift trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise and was pulled up
