An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs out when Sapphire Bombay (GB), placed third, ridden by Jonathan Burke, interfered with Don't Stop Now (GB), placed second, ridden by Paddy Brennan, which in turn interfered with Shining Blood (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Gavin Sheehan.
Burke was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed Sapphire Bombay (GB) to drift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Don't Stop Now (GB), causing that gelding to be carried off its intended line, which in turn resulted in Shining Blood (FR) becoming unbalanced against the rail.
