An enquiry was held to consider interference ½ furlong out involving Gossamer Silk (GB), placed sixth, ridden by David Egan and Littlemissattitude (GB), unplaced, ridden by Laura Pearson.
Egan was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without timely correction, causing the rider of Littlemissattitude (GB) to take a slight check off heels.
The winner Alafdhal (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Bath on 20 May 2022 where the gelding finished seventh of seven, beaten 17 lengths.
Phil McEntee’s explanation that Alafdhal (IRE) had benefited from the drop in trip to 6 furlongs was noted and the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Neil Callan reported that Company Minx (IRE), placed fourth, was denied a clear run approximately 1 furlong out; Darragh Keenan reported that Jack Ryan (IRE), placed fifth, was never travelling; Dylan Hogan reported that Hyba (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed and Laura Pearson reported that Littlemissattitude (GB), unplaced, suffered interference ½ furlong out.
