An enquiry was held to consider why Adrian McCarthy, who was declared to ride Drop Kick Murphi (IRE), and was required to provide a urine sample had failed to arrive.
Christine Dunnett, the Clerk of the Scales the Sampling Officer and a Valet were interviewed.
The Clerk of the Scales explained that he had been informed by Dunnett that McCarthy had contacted her at 15:20 to say that he was experiencing problems with his car on the M25 near to Heathrow and that he was subsequently not going to arrive in time to ride in the 16:15 Race.
The Starter reported that Drop Kick Murphi (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.

Following the race, Amelia Glass reported that Es Que Magic (IRE), placed third, was denied a clear run, David Probert reported that Sherella (GB), unplaced, suffered interference leaving the stalls, Daniel Muscutt reported that Rebecke (IRE), placed second, ran too free early on and Alistair Rawlinson reported that N Over J (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
