The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing of this race involving Arthurian Fame, ridden by J.J. Slevin, placed first, Railway Hurricane, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed third and Behind The Curtain, ridden by J.P
O'Sullivan, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found J. J
Slevin in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden improperly. Having considered J. J. Slevin's record in this regard the Stewards suspended J. J. Slevin for three racedays.
