Day Of Destiny takes opener at Fairyhouse
He's a grand horse, we found it difficult enough with him as he was hard to settle and his jumping wasn't great but he's got it together now. We didn't really know how he'd handle the ground but he did it quite well there. We might go for a handicap hurdle next, we'll wait and see what kind of mark the handicapper gives us.
Benash scores for Carr/McNamara
He's a fair on soft ground, the softer the better for him. He'll go for the winners of one race on the Wednesday of the Punchestown Festival and that'll be it for him. We'll probably go chasing with him next year. He's related to a few good horses over fences.
Power wins Fegentri Hurdle at Fairyhouse
We didn't really know if he'd handle the ground or not. He'll stay hurdling for the time being.
Casey wins Ballybin hurdle aboard Boulavogue
I think we'll have definitely confused the handicapper after that., . David [Casey] was brilliant on him. He's a consistent sort and deserved the win. He's dead genuine just idles in front a bit. I'm not sure what'll we do now whether to go back over fences or go for another hurdle we'll just wait and see.
Walsh and Martin strike again
That was great, I'm delighted for the owners. Aidan [Shiels] came home from New York to watch him win. Niall Reilly and Aidan have been great supporters of mine and i'm just delighted he won for them. It was a very weak contest but he jumps really well, he loves the heavy ground and we can't ask anymore of him.
Rock Diplomat back to winning ways
The ground is the secret with him. He won a hurdle race on practically unraceable ground in Naas a while back. He's just one paced, he needs the ground to be slow. He just runs out of puff on the fast ground.
Sydney wins for McBratney
He's a grand horse and we've done plenty with him at home. Mark [O'Hare] gave him a great ride, he was very patient and was always happy with him. He stayed on real gamely and i'm delighted with him. He loves the soft ground so we'll put him away now, but he certainly looks like a nice prospect.
