An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the second last flight involving Our Laura B (IRE), placed second, ridden by Richie McLernon, Night Fever (GER), unplaced, ridden by Gavin Sheehan, and Chinook (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Beau Morgan.
Being a 7lb claiming conditional, Morgan was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined.
McLernon was suspended for 2 days for careless riding having angled his mount right-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Chinook (GB) to be crowded for room and in turn tightening up Night Fever (GER) down the inner.
An enquiry was held to consider interference after jumping the final flight involving Never No Trouble (GB), placed third, ridden by Peter Kavanagh, and Our Laura B (IRE), placed second, ridden by Richie McLernon.
Kavanagh was suspended for 2 days for careless riding after allowing his horse to hang right- handed without sufficient or timely correction, resulting in it making light contact with Our Laura B (IRE), which was then carried several horse widths off its intended line.
Following the race, Alastair Ralph reported that Iconic Rock (IRE), unplaced, made a respiratory noise.
