The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.C. Persse, rider of Happenstance, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. A.C. Persse stated he was in a close finish and just lost count but accepted he was in breach of R 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found A.C. Persse in breach of R 10.3(g)(frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they suspended him for 3 racedays
