The Stewards interviewed D.E. Hogan, rider of Cosmic Symbol, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for three race days. The Stewards interviewed T.P. Madden, rider of Hatton Cross, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered his record, suspended him for two race days. The Stewards interviewed K.P. Moriarty, rider of Prince Jock (USA), concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) and 10.3(b), in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and when his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having considered his record in this regard the rider was suspended for two race days. E.T. Daly, rider of Dovil's Duel trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away. G.P. Brouder, rider of Society Ranger, trained by S.M.Duffy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount suffered interference in running.
