The winner, Fox Leicester (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kempton on 7 July 2021, where the gelding finished seventh of 14, beaten by 9¾ lengths.
Shaun Keightley's explanation that Fox Leicester (IRE) had benefitted from a step up in trip from 1 mile to 1 mile 2 furlongs was noted; the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Nashy (IRE), placed fourth, was slowly away and denied a clear run, and Charlie Bennett reported that Bagatelle (GB), placed fifth, hung both ways in the straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Blairlogie (GB), unplaced, had lost its left-fore shoe.
