Permission was given for Granary Queen (IRE) to go to post early.
Granary Queen (IRE) spread its right hind shoe in the parade ring which could not be re-fitted.
As the trainer had not indicated that the filly should be withdrawn in the event she lost a shoe, Granary Queen (IRE) ran without its right hind shoe.
Granary Queen (IRE) unseated David Probert on the way to post and cantered down to the start quietly with the other runners.
Having been checked by the Doctor and Veterinary Surgeon at the start, both Probert and the filly were deemed fit to race.
Following the race, William Buick reported that Obtuse (IRE), placed sixth, hung right throughout.
Faye McManoman reported that Truth In Jest (GB), placed fifth was slowly away.
