Brendan Powell, the rider of Shoal Bay (IRE), had been unseated approximately ½ furlong out.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and had been caused by Powell’s saddle slipping badly, causing him to become unbalanced and fall.
