Midway down the back straight, a free running Summeronsevenhills (USA), unplaced, edged slightly right-handed onto KING’S CAPER, unplaced, which in turn caused Group One Power (GB), placed fourth, to have to be steadied off heels.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after turning in to the home straight, when Group One Power (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, interfered with WIN O’CLOCK, unplaced, ridden by Hollie Doyle.
De Sousa was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he manoeuvred left- handed when insufficiently clear of WIN O’CLOCK, causing Doyle to have to take a check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong, when the winner Hukum (IRE), ridden by Jim Crowley, interfered with Arthurian Fable (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Martin Dwyer, which in turn interfered with Subjectivist (GB), placed third, ridden by Ryan Moore.
Crowley was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift left-handed without timely correction carrying both Dwyer and Moore off their intended lines.
Following the race, Shane Kelly reported that Summeronsevenhills (USA), which finished last of the seventeen runners, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer reported that the winner Hukum (IRE), lost its right-hind shoe and sustained a wound to its right-hind fetlock and LOCKED ‘N’ LOADED, unplaced, lost its right-hind shoe.
