Tim Easterby could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Staxton (GB), during routine testing of the gelding, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Golden Apollo (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside 2 furlongs out.
Silvestre De Sousa reported that SANDRA’S SECRET (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that SANDRA’S SECRET (IRE) had a small wound to the inside of its left fore.
The representative of Ed Walker reported that Desert Doctor (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the Good to Firm, Good in places going, and is better suited to an all-weather surface.
