The winner, Falcon Sun (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Uttoxeter on 29 October 2021 where the gelding finished ninth of thirteen, beaten by 27 lengths.
The representative of Michael Roberts’ explanation that Falcon Sun (FR) was suited by a smaller field in a less competitive race and may have appreciated the return to softer ground conditions on this occasion, was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Archie Bellamy reported that Mordred (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished fourth, ran too free.
