An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final half furlong, when the winner Al Waseela (IRE), ridden by Cieren Fallon, interfered with Say What You See (IRE), placed third, ridden by Billy Garritty.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Al Waseela (IRE) as they were unable to be satisfied that the ground lost due to the interference was more than the 2 ½ lengths between the runners at the line; taking this into account the placings remained unaltered.
Fallon was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Garritty to take a significant check when tightened for room against the rail.
Inside the final furlong Cieren Fallon, the rider of Al Waseela (IRE), the winner, struck Say What You See (IRE), placed third, once across the nose with his whip but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
