The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the final furlong involving Lord Erskine, ridden by Miss M
Walsh, and Helvic Dream, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins where it appeared Lord Erskine got tight for room on the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Miss M. Walsh stated that the winner came over in front of her horse and she had to check. Mr. P.W. Mullins stated that he has gone to go past when his horse drifted in half a horse's width at which point he corrected him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. P.W. Mullins, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four race days
Miss M. Walsh, rider of Lord Erskine, trained by H.Rogers, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount received interference and she had to stop riding in the final furlong
Mr. A. O. Harrington, rider of Applejack Poet, trained by Liz Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped after a furlong
