The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Saga Bolton, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed first, Brokopondo, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed fourth and Cartographic (USA), ridden by F.M. Berry, placed third, where it appeared Cartographic (USA) briefly ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards deemed the interference to be accidental in nature and took no further action.
