The Clerk of the Scales objected to the winner, Calum Gilhooley (IRE), ridden by Kielan Woods and trained by Graeme McPherson, on the grounds of the rider weighing in at 11st 4Ibs having weighed out at 11st 12Ibs.

Woods’ explanation that the weight cloth came adrift on the run to the line after the saddle had started to slip from jumping the final hurdle, was accepted.
