Following the race, Tom O'Brien reported that Tudors Treasure (GB), which was pulled up, was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding shortly after the race failed to reveal any abnormalities other than Tudors Treasure (GB) had lost its right-fore shoe.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Square Viviani (FR), placed third, lost its right-hind shoe.
