Donald McCain could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance other than Brian Hughes reporting that Danger Money (GB) had become unsettled and sweated up when the start of the race had been delayed; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding shortly after the race failed to reveal any abnormalities.
