D.E. Splaine, rider of Native Son trained by M. Flannery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost action and was pulled up. The Stewards enquired into an incident after the hurdle past the stands with a circuit to go involving Illtakeitfromhere, ridden by S.A. Shortall, fell at last hurdle, Seeyouallincoppers, ridden by M. Darcy, placed third and The Yellow Bin, ridden by D. Meyler, placed fifth, where it appeared Illtakeitfromhere suffered interference and collided with the running rail, and The Yellow Bin suffered interference and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion any interference caused was accidental and took no further action.
