Following concerns raised by the riders at the start regarding the low sun obscuring their vision at the 3 hurdles in the back straight, the Stewards consulted with the Clerk of the Course and ordered that these obstacles should be by-passed for this race.
Following the race Nico de Boinville reported that Stage Summit (IRE), place fourth, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Max Kendrick reported that Global Tour (IRE), placed fifth, ran flat; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that the winner Organdi (FR), lost its right hind shoe.
