Permission was given for Peruvien Bleu (FR) to go early to post and be led in at the start.
The reins on Chez Hans (GER) broke leaving the Parade Ring.
The reins were inspected and as they were found to be in a serviceable condition, no further action was taken.
Ryan Chapman was informed that any future similar unruly behaviour from Peruvien Bleu (FR) may result in the gelding being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
This was due to Peruvien Bleu (FR) being very reluctant to go to the start and virtually refusing to race once the start had been effected, losing many lengths as a result, which followed a previous report of the gelding being reluctant to race at Warwick on 19 May 2021.
The Starter reported that Mr Luke Scott, the rider of Small Bad Bob (IRE); Mr Ben Bromley, the rider of Chez Hans (GER); Miss Katie Sinclair, the rider of Right Destination (IRE) and Mr Martin McIntyre, the rider of Percy Street (GB), failed to walk or jig-jog into the start.
The riders and the Starter were interviewed and recordings of the incident were shown.
Mr Scott, Mr Bromley, Miss Sinclair and Mr McIntyre were each suspended for 1 day, on dates to be notified to them by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for misconduct at the Start.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Right Destination (IRE), placed eighth, lost its right-hind shoe.
