Quiscover Fontaine caused a bit of a surprise here with trainer Willie Mullins admitting that he hadn't been showing a lot at home.

The 14/1 shot moved up to challenge before the turn and gained a narrow lead early in the straight.

He kept on doggedly for Emmet Mullins and held that advantage to the line.

Mullins revealed that the winner had a stamina-laden pedigree and expects him to make into a staying novice hurdler next season.

Fionn Tra also made a promising debut, hassling the winner from over a furlong out and keeping on well.

Across The Bay finished best of all. He moved into fifth early in the straight and ran on into third in the final furlong.

Logan's Manor, who had led them into the straight, had no more to offer in the final furlong while Whatyouracking kept on nicely and could be one to note.
