The Starter reported that Jungle Jim (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
David Evans was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Jungle Jim (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
The Starter reported that Vanity Pays (GB) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 5:45pm.
Alice Haynes was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
The winner, Good Point (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 11 November 2023, where the colt finished tenth of ten runners, beaten 9 ¾ lengths.
Bryan Smart’s explanation that Good Point (GB) appreciated the drop in trip from six furlongs to five furlongs on this occasion, was noted.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Scarboroughwarning (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
