Permission was given for Hen (IRE) to be led to post early.
The Starter reported that Hen (IRE), trained by Jamie Osborne, had been very reluctant to go to the start and was withdrawn at 3.
25pm, having planted approximately half a furlong from the starting stalls.
The representative of Jamie Osborne and the Starters were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
The Stewards also noted that Hen (IRE) had refused to enter the Parade Ring and had not been mounted until the filly had been led most of the way to the start.
Taking this into account, the representative of Mr Osborne was informed that any future similar behaviour from Hen (IRE) may result in the filly being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Thomas Greatrex, the rider of Frenchmans Creek (IRE), drawn 10, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
Following the race, P J McDonald reported that Global Freedom (GB), placed fifth, hung left-handed, Shane Kelly reported that Belle Bayeux (GB), unplaced, stopped quickly and Andrew Mullen reported that Moor Top (GB), unplaced, stopped quickly.
