The Starter reported that Tyrese Cameron, the rider of Certain Style (GB) had originally entered the wrong stall.
As a 7lb claiming apprentice, Cameron was accompanied in the enquiry by a BHA Jockey Coach.
After both the rider and Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Cameron was cautioned.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of all beaten horses after the winner Certain Style (GB) had been allowed to establish a sizeable uncontested lead through the early and middle stages of the race.
Kyle McHugh, the rider of Gold Aura (GB), placed second, Mason Paetel, the rider of Upepo (IRE), placed third, Warren Fentiman, the rider of Shaad (GB), placed fourth and Chloe Lyons, the rider of Grand Duchess Olga (GB), placed fifth, were interviewed and shown recordings of the race.
The 7lb claiming apprentices were accompanied in the enquiry by a BHA Jockey Coach.
McHugh stated that his instructions were to sit last as his horse was stepping up in trip to 2 miles and to try and settle his mount which had ran freely in the past.
Paetel stated that his horse was having its first run at the 2 mile trip and so he was instructed to position his horse at the rear of the field.
From his position at the rear of the field he became aware that the winner, Certain Style (GB) had got away from the chasing pack but felt he would come back to them in the latter stages of the race.
Fentiman stated his instructions had been to race prominently but get cover and Lyons stated her instructions were to make the running, but after travelling a furlong she felt that Certain Style (GB) was running too freely so she decided to sit second and take a lead.
She added that she felt that Certain Style (GB) was going too quickly but admitted that she had allowed the leader to stretch too far clear.
The jockeys acknowledged that due to their collective inexperience, approximately 4 furlongs out, when the riders began to ask their mounts for effort, it became apparent that the leader was not going to come back to the field.
Having heard their evidence, Mchugh, Paetel, Fentiman and Lyons were all suspended for 10 days each for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placings.
