An enquiry was held to consider interference 2 furlongs out when Panko (IRE), placed second, ridden by Kielan Woods interfered with the winner, Illustrissime (USA), ridden by Harry Skelton.
Woods was suspended for 10 days for improper riding as he had intentionally manoeuvred his mount across to the rail when Illustrissime (USA) was already on his inside, causing interference for a considerable distance and Woods ought to have reasonably known that interference would result, and in doing so caused Skelton to take back and switch right for his run.
Following the race, Kielan Woods reported that Panko, placed second, jumped right and hung left and Henry Brooke reported that Sweet Flora (IRE), placed third, ran too freely.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Panko (IRE) lost its right fore shoe and Weekly Gossip (IRE), unplaced, bled from the nose.
