Permission was given for Dr Rio (FR) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post wearing a red hood.
Violette Szabo (IRE) ducked left-handed resulting in Ethan Tindall losing his balance and becoming unseated when going out onto the course.
Having been checked by the Doctor at the start, Tindall was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out when the winner, IRON SHERRIFF (IRE), ridden by Jonny Peate, interfered with DANDY’S ANGEL (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Tom Eaves.
Peate was cautioned for careless riding as he edged left-handed when insufficiently clear of DANDY’S ANGEL (IRE) carrying the mare slightly off its intended line.
Approximately 1 furlong out, Milltown Lily (IRE), placed fourth, edged right-handed at the same time as Wild Thunder (IRE), placed third, shifted left-handed crowding Le Bayou (FR), unplaced, for room causing its rider to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Milltown Lily (IRE) or Wild Thunder (IRE).
Inside the final furlong, Milltown Lily (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed carrying Wild Thunder (IRE), placed third, off its intended line which in turn resulted in Gloryella (GB), placed fifth, being shifted marginally off its intended line causing Jackamundo (FR), unplaced, to be crowded for room on the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Milltown Lily (IRE).
Following the race, Harrison Shaw reported that Jackamundo (FR), unplaced, suffered interference inside the final furlong.
