It was noted that the saddle slipped on Hazy Dream (GB), unplaced, shortly after the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final half furlong when Rock Legend (IRE), placed third, ridden by Mr Tristan Durrell, interfered with Here Hare Here (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Caoilin Quinn.
Being 7lb claiming conditionals, Durrell and Quinn were both offered the opportunity to have someone accompany them in the enquiry, but declined.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Rock Legend (IRE)’s placing as Here Hare Here (FR) had been gaining on that gelding throughout the final half furlong despite being carried several horses widths off its racing line to get within a head at the winning post, and revised the placings as follows: Third, Here Hare Here (FR); Fourth, Rock Legend (IRE).
Durrell was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed Rock Legend (IRE) to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, causing Here Hare Here (FR) to be carried off its intended line.
