An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately ½ furlong out when the winner, Big Boy Bobby (IRE), ridden by Oisin Murphy, interfered with Knowing (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Angus Villiers, who in turn interfered with Summer Valley (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Dane O’Neill.
Murphy was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to edge left-handed down the camber, without sufficient correction, causing Villiers to take a precautionary check and Summer Valley (GB) to become slightly unbalanced.
