An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final half furlong when the winner, Khuzaam (USA), ridden by Jack Mitchell, interfered with Highland Dress (GB), placed second, ridden by Kieran Shoemark.
Mitchell was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his horse to shift left-handed under a right-handed drive carrying Highland Dress (GB) slightly off its intended line.
Ryan Moore, the rider of Nahaarr (IRE), placed fourth, had appeared to stop riding inside the final half furlong.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Moore’s explanation that he had to momentarily ease Nahaarr (IRE) as a precautionary measure as both Khuzaam (USA) and Highland Dress (GB) were drifting left-handed in front of him, was noted.
