Third time lucky over fences for Tom
He did it well. I was hoping he would improve on the better ground. That is the first time since last May that he has got good ground. Despite what everyone else thought, I never thought he was a heavy ground horse.
Darenjan appreciates the good ground
He is better on good ground and he just never got it last year. He will go to Punchestown for something now. The horses are beginning to come back into form. I had a point-to-point winner recently and Rachel (his partner Rachel O'Neill) won the Charity Race on Clondaw Warrior on Tuesday. I have forty horses in and they are all summer horses, I don't really have any winter horses.
Pyrus Gold Wind scores for Colgan & Mahon
He is a fun horse who only cost €500 outside the ring. He'll mix it on the flat and over hurdles for the summer. He is one horse who won't go on heavy ground. He is not a jadey horse he was just beaten by better horses in the past.
Dancing Tornado still has it
I waited five months for a winner, now I've had three in a week (The Crafty Butcher at Clonmel last Thursday and A Fine Young Man at Cork on Sunday). Jody gave him a great. He went down the inside which was the right thing to do. That is his first time winning over three miles but he is a class horse and he should have a Paddy Power Chase at Cheltenham to his name but he has been unlucky.
Hunting Party justifies favouritism
He jumped beautifully on the ground today. On his other runs he was off the bridle a fair way out so hopefully there is another hurdle in him but chasing will be his game.
Scouting scores on second start for Callaghan
He lost his confidence over fences. Ideally he is a chaser and hopefully he will get his confidence back over fences. The better ground helped and he showed a lot of pace on it.
Champion Bumper next up for Nathans Pride
He is a very, very, very good horse and we had loads of confidence coming here today. Some of his work at home has been unbelievable. He worked at Leopardstown before Cheltenham and was giving away weight to horses and worked every bit as good as them if not better. He will go for the Champion Bumper now at Punchestown. I'm not sure whether he will be sold but his (unraced) brother is going to the Derby Sale.
