It wasn't a great race but she did it well. She's probably improving with age. I thought five might have been a bit sharp but she was very quick.
O'Connell off the mark on the level
She's eventually got her head in front and that's my first flat winner. We'll try to find another race for her in a few weeks. She's owned by three of the Limerick hurlers - Shane Dowling, Gavin O'Mahony and Seanie Tobin.

I'm delighted with that . it's a nice start to the season to have a winner on our second runner. Andrew (Lynch) was pleased with him. Being a six-year-old we might head off and go over fences now.
Lavery and Marshim a good combo at Tipp
He got no racing before he was nine, because he had problems, and I thought he improved a pile last season. The handicapper will probably sort him out now but it's great to get the win and hopefully we'll knock another out of him.
