The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at fence #7 involving Amirite, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, and Three Stripe Life, ridden by J.W. Kennedy where it appeared that both horses collided on the landing side, both riders became unbalanced and Rachael Blackmore got unseated. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In her evidence, Rachael Blackmore stated that Three Stripe Life made a mistake and his rider J.W. Kennedy had his balance shifted to the right which caused a knock on affect and glanced off herself giving her no chance. J.W
Kennedy stated that he got unbalanced when his mount jumped to the right and collided with Amirite causing him to knock Rachael Blackmore who got unseated as a consequence. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
