The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Meri Devie (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis

The Stewards informed a representative of M.F.Morris, trainer, that a repetition of today's behaviour by their charge Balakani (FR) could render the animal liable to suspension

The Stewards interviewed Ciaran Treacy, authorised representative of M.F.Morris, trainer, in relation to an observation at the start whereby a member of his staff appeared to throw an object at their charge Balakani (FR) to encourage him to walk forward and join the other runners. Evidence was heard from the trainer's representative who stated that he had already received permission prior to racing to attend to his charge at the start but he was unaware of the actions of the other member of staff until he had viewed the video recording. He accepted that the staff member had breached the regulation in relation to starting. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that there was a breach of R13 and therefore cautioned M.F. Morris, through his representative.
