The winner Blessed To Empress (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Ripon on 16 August 2020 where the mare finished fourteenth of sixteen runners, beaten by 11 lengths.
Amy Murphy explained that Blessed To Empress (IRE) benefited for the return to Chelmsford where the mare has won three times previously.
Her explanation was noted and Blessed To Empress (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Adam Kirby reported that Pushkin Museum (IRE), unplaced, became upset in the stalls; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination revealed the gelding had sustained a superficial wound to its left hind.
