Permission was given for Compton Bay (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend involving Cuban Harry (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Rossa Ryan and Timely Chance (GB), unplaced, ridden by Trevor Whelan.
Laura Pearson, the rider of Professor Tickle (GB), placed second, was interviewed but found not to be involved.
The interference was found to be accidental as Cuban Harry (GB) had locked on with Ryan and surged forward at the same time as Whelan to his outside edged slightly left-handed towards the rail, forcing Ryan to take a check in order to avoid the heels of Timely Chance (GB) after becoming short for room.
Shortly after leaving the stalls Professor Tickle (GB), placed second, lugged right-handed causing the rider of Madame Christine (GB), unplaced, to take a precautionary check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Professor Tickle (GB).
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Cuban Harry (GB), placed fifth, ran too free.
Finley Marsh reported that Aljadel (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
