An enquiry was held to consider why Tim Clark, who was declared to ride Flight Path (GB), and was required to provide a urine sample had failed to arrive.
The Trainer, the Clerk of the Scales and the Sampling Officer were interviewed.
Jane Chapple-Hyam explained that Clark notified her at 6:07am that he was feeling unwell.
He later notified her and the Clerk of the Scales that he would be unable to take the ride at Chelmsford this evening.
The Stewards gave permission for Richard Kingscote to replace Clark and the matter was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
