Minding impresses in Leopardstown opener
Ishebayorgrey gets another win to his name
Colin always felt that he was getting there, and he's a horse with great resolution. He has an entry at Bellewstown over five furlongs but I'd say we'll give him a break now.
Newcomer Game lands some nice bets
He's very green and has never been away to a racecourse so I'd say there is tonnes of improvement. He's got plenty of raw ability, and there are no easy Leopardstown maidens. That was the plan and I don't know where he'll go next but he'll probably stay a mile. It was good to see him go on that ground.
Pipes makes all under McDonogh for Slattery
I gave her a chance as it was an open enough race. I was going to go for the Dubai Duty Free Summer (Fillies) Handicap at the Curragh on Saturday but she was four pounds out of the handicap. But if she bounces out in the morning, and we get some rain, she could still run.
Another for Coakley as Baby beats the fav
She opened up second favourite this morning but I told the boys to hang fire that they'd probably get 8 or 10/1 about her so the lads had a few quid on her and did alright. We've spaced out her races a little bit. She is tall and lean, we just wanted to give her a chance. She won't be hardly campaigned this year and we will pick out another race or two for her. She did a good bit of work during the week, and I was quietly confident that she had improved.
Keane doubles-up aboard Toccata Blue
A mile is his perfect trip and he likes to run fresh. He's game out and never runs a bad race. He loves to just tuck in behind the pace, and has been a great servant. His owner, Damian Nolan, is originally from Westmeath (hence the maroon and white colours) and lives in Paris.
Fast finishing Sky nabs Landau
He won a charity race at Limerick and funnily enough it did his confidence the world of good. He just about got away with the ground there tonight.
